Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I hire a Web3 Marketer like you instead of a digital marketing agency?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with hiring an agency. In fact, I myself get a great deal of contractual work from those types of businesses.

Having said that, if your project is copy-driven (i.e. website copy, landing page or an SEO article), then you'll save a lot by coming directly to me.

Often, agencies have greater overhead than a freelance copywriter. This means they'll charge more than me.

Agencies don't typically have their own copywriters, so what they'll do is hire a freelancer like me and charge you my rate, in addition to their premium.

Now you see why it's less expensive to get in touch with me directly and slice out the middleman.

Assuming I decide to hire a freelancer, why would I hire you instead of another copywriter?

I have over 5 years of professional writing experience, and a BS in Business Administration and International Business from the John Molson School of Business. I also have both a certificate and a diploma in copywriting from the Blackford Centre.

I've worked in the marketing and operations divisions for 6 years between Coca-Cola and British American Tobacco—both of which are multinational giants that have helped me develop a sharp mind for business.

I bring not only expert copywriting skills but also insightful business acumen and many years of experience and valuable know-how.

I have a proven track record of helping clients get results. I'll do the same for you.

What copywriting services do you provide?

I write all types of website copy. SEO blog posts, sales funnels, long-form sales copy, product reviews, informative articles, press releases, e-books, social media content and YouTube scripts.

I also create professional YouTube thumbnails, Pinterest pins, business logos and Facebook cover photos.

How much do you charge for your copywriting services?

I quote every client according to the specific amount of work involved. I assess the complexity of each project and price it accordingly.

Rest assured, my rates are very competitive for premium grade copy. As a freelancer, I have less overhead so you won't have to worry about paying large premiums like you would with marketing agencies.

Do you have an hourly rate?

I get this question often. I understand your urge wanting to know exactly how many dollars you can expect to spend, but try not to think of it that way. The reality is, I'll quote you something we can both agree on.

I do this by breaking down the project into practical timeframes. From there, we'll agree on a final quote. Here's a ballpark idea of how much you can expect to spend for specific projects.

Keep in mind that these are just for reference and might not be what I quote you. Don't worry, I'll make sure it's reasonable for both of us.

On average, I charge $75 per hour.

OR

  • $300 for a YouTube script.
  • $750 for a 5,000+ word no-fluff, SEO optimized article with images.
  • $2,500 for short-form sales copy.
  • $5,000 for long-form sales copy.
  • $10,000 for a complete, conversion optimized website.

What are your payment terms?

With most projects, I require 25% upfront. The remaining 75% is due upon project completion. Once I've completed the project, I will require the remaining balance before I send you the completed work.

What types of payment do you accept?

I mainly accept payments through Paypal, but I'm very flexible. You can also pay through wire transfer. I'll provide you with the banking details if you need it. If you're based in North America, you can also pay me through Interac e-Transfer. However, if you're based outside of North America, I can only accept wire transfer or Paypal.

To summarize:

If you're based in North America you can pay with:

  • Paypal (Keep in mind that Paypal charges approximately a 3% fee.)
  • Interac e-Transfer
  • Wire Transfer

If you aren't based in North America you can pay with:

  • Paypal (Keep in mind that Paypal charges an international transfer fee based on your country of origin.)
  • Wire Transfer

If I hire you to write my copy, who owns that copy?

Everything I write for you is 100% yours. You'll own the copyright for it, and you can rest assured that I'll never give that work to anyone else or recycle it in any way.

Furthermore, you'll be able to repurpose any content I produce for you however you like. For example, I've seen clients take a product review article I've written, and repurpose it for four different mediums! They use it for a YouTube video script. Then as an audio podcast. Then as a Facebook page post and finally, an Instagram image quote. You can even create a Pinterest pin.

What happens if I don't like the first draft of copy?

Don't worry, we'll easily solve this. While I usually hit the bullseye on the first attempt, the entire purpose of writing a first draft is to get your feedback. If you feel something's missing, we'll hop on a call and discuss the good and the not so good. I'll take notes from our conversation with your feedback and write up a second draft.

How long do you take to complete a project?

It really depends on the scope and complexity of the project. However, I try to submit most work within 3-5 business days. If you're in a hurry, I can expedite your work. That means I'll put everything else that's already in queue on hold to complete your project, which will cost a bit more. If you want me to create a full website, I will take approximately 10 business days. This too can be expedited.

Can I get a free consultation before we work together?

Absolutely. In fact, I highly recommend we hop on a call and have a chat. Getting to know each other would be an excellent way to get started. I'll listen closely to everything you have to say and give you some feedback. Beware: I ask A LOT of questions.

After our chat, I'll put together a quote and send it to you. My clients get excellent value for their money. Not only do I provide premium copy, but I also provide you with world class service.

Great, I think you're the copywriter I'm looking for. What's next?

Let's begin a dialogue. I want to know more about you and your project. We can communicate through Skype, Zoom, phone, email, or LinkedIn. I've also prepared a tiny questionnaire for you to fill out so I can get your preferred method of contact, availabilities, and a brief idea of the project.

Once you submit the questionnaire, I'll instantly get notified and reach out to you ASAP. If you want to contact me directly, you can do that as well.

You'll find the questionnaire and my contact information when you click on the shiny orange button below.
